Apex Legends’ Godzilla event runs November 10–December 1. Here is what EA has confirmed, how it fits Cipher, and what to check before playing.

A very large visitor is heading for Storm Point. EA announced on November 5 that the Apex Legends | Godzilla Event will run from November 10 to December 1, 2026. As of our November 8 source check, it is still upcoming. The useful distinction for your next session: the crossover has its own start date, while the Cipher season has already begun. Read EA’s event announcement.

What is confirmed for the Godzilla event?

EA describes a damaged Storm Point under attack, with a custom Devotion available from a Care Package inside a blast zone. The announcement also includes an Event Pass with a free reward path and a separate premium track priced at 950 Apex Coins. Those are the publisher’s announced features; we have not played this upcoming event.

Our take: the interesting question is how a shared environmental threat changes a squad’s decisions. A tempting reward can pull several teams toward the same area. Before chasing it, agree on whether your group wants the encounter or would rather keep moving. That is a way to approach the announced setup, rather than a tested strategy or a promise about balance.

Cipher is already here; the crossover comes next

The November 2 patch notes put the start of Season 31, Cipher, on November 3. They introduce Akimbo Wingman, mid-match Strongholds and Legend banning in Diamond-and-above Ranked matches. Strongholds reward controlling the surrounding zone, so returning players have a new objective to learn before the monster arrives. Check the full Cipher patch notes.

For a returning player, separating those changes makes the update easier to read. Begin with your familiar controls and a Legend you understand. Learn what changed in the normal match loop, then decide whether to explore the event. You do not need to treat every cosmetic offer or new objective as a checklist to complete.

A small checklist before your next session

  • Check the current announcement and your game client on November 10. We have not confirmed an exact regional unlock time.
  • Choose the experience first: trying the event and buying its premium rewards are separate decisions.
  • Read the current patch notes if you are returning after a break; a familiar weapon or Legend may behave differently.
  • Allow time for installation or updates. This is a separate downloadable game, not a Tailorgame browser title.

Is it live now, and do you need to buy the pass?

The event is upcoming as of November 8. Its announced pass has free rewards and a separate premium track. Check the in-game terms before deciding whether any paid reward interests you.
