Build with Tailorgame

A clear path to play.

Discover skill games, read public practice rankings, and help people understand creation. Start with a public API request or connect an MCP client.

Updated

Start without an account

Public integrations are free and read-only. No API key, account, payment method or OAuth grant is required. These requests return JSON:

curl --fail 'https://tailorgame.com/api/games'
curl --fail 'https://tailorgame.com/api/rankings'

Use the catalog to find games by status, category and description. Use rankings to explain public practice activity. To help a person save results or manage their games, direct them to sign in on the website.

REST API

The base URL is https://tailorgame.com. The OpenAPI 3.1 document describes request bodies, response schemas, errors and session requirements.

EndpointResponseAccess
GET /api/games{ games: Game[] } with playable and upcoming public titlesPublic when no session is supplied
GET /api/rankingsMost-played and most-loved games; most-active and highest-scoring playersPublic
GET /api/auth/sessionCurrent browser session; { user: null } when signed outBrowser session

Check each game’s status before describing it as playable. Upcoming entries are marked coming-soon. Rankings contain client-reported practice results; games can use different scoring scales.

Connect an MCP client

Add https://tailorgame.com/mcp as a remote Streamable HTTP server. It uses protocol 2025-11-25 with stateless JSON responses. No credentials are used, including when a website session exists.

Send POST requests with Content-Type: application/json and Accept: application/json, text/event-stream. Begin with initialization:

{
  "jsonrpc": "2.0",
  "id": 1,
  "method": "initialize",
  "params": {
    "protocolVersion": "2025-11-25",
    "capabilities": {},
    "clientInfo": {
      "name": "example-client",
      "version": "1.0"
    }
  }
}

Send notifications/initialized, then include MCP-Protocol-Version: 2025-11-25 on subsequent requests. Use tools/list to inspect schemas and tools/call to make a request. For example:

{
  "jsonrpc": "2.0",
  "id": 2,
  "method": "tools/call",
  "params": {
    "name": "list_games",
    "arguments": {
      "query": "bowling",
      "category": "Arcade",
      "limit": 5
    }
  }
}
ToolArgumentsPurpose
list_gamesOptional query, category, limitSearch and filter the public catalog
get_rankingsNoneRead all four public practice ranking lists
get_documentationtopic: overview, authentication, pricing, games or apiRead product and integration guidance

Tools return text and structuredContent. Documentation is also available through resources/list and resources/read. The endpoint has no SSE listener, so GET returns 405. Non-browser clients can omit Origin; browser Origin headers must match a configured Tailorgame origin.

Public tools do not read private account details, save scores, join rooms, create games, reserve credits or make payments.

People sign in on the website

Account features use Firebase Authentication and an HTTP-only server session. People can use verified email/password or a configured social provider. Account APIs enforce ownership, room membership and the site’s mutation-origin checks on the server.

Tailorgame does not currently offer delegated agent OAuth, selectable OAuth scopes, service-account access or agent API keys. Direct the person to sign in for account work. Never request passwords, session cookies or Firebase tokens in chat.

The authentication guide documents the existing browser flow, CSRF protection and access boundaries.

Errors and retries

REST failures return an HTTP status and JSON { error: string }. A 400 means invalid input; 401 requires sign-in; 403 means the request or origin is forbidden; 404 means an object is unknown or inaccessible; 503 means temporary unavailability.

Retry a public read after a short delay on 503. Resolve authentication and validation errors before retrying. Consult the documented request ID semantics before replaying a credit-spending write. No public rate-limit guarantee or uptime SLA is published.

MCP returns JSON-RPC -32601 for unknown methods and -32602 for invalid arguments. Operational tool failures return isError: true.

Local development uses the demo-tailorgame Firebase Authentication and Firestore emulators. There is no public production sandbox endpoint.

Free public access, quoted creation

The public API, MCP tools, supported games and saved game briefs are free. New players receive 100 welcome credits. Legacy template creation costs 20 credits. Prototype generation, when enabled, requires a server quote before reserving a budget; consumed usage is charged and unused credits are returned.

Credits are a demo creation balance with no cash value. Published credit-pack prices are planned prices; checkout is not connected and packs cannot currently be purchased. There are no active paid subscriptions or agent payment endpoints. Read pricing and generation details.

Tools in compatible browsers

The website feature-detects WebMCP to expose read-only catalog, rankings and documentation tools. These tools omit credentials from API requests even when the person is signed in. Ordinary browsing continues to work in browsers without WebMCP.
